Its primary advantage is its extreme thinness, allowing technicians to clear solder from incredibly tight spaces where standard braids would be too bulky.

Usage Instructions for Best Results

  • Temperature Control: Set your soldering iron between 330°C and 350°C. Because the wick is ultra-thin, it doesn't require "cranking up" the heat like thicker braids do.

  • Avoid Friction: Do not scrub the PCB. Place the wick on the solder, place the iron on the wick, and let the capillary action do the work.

  • Trimming: Always trim the used (silvery) portion of the wick with sharp nippers before starting a new joint to ensure maximum suction.

Note: Due to the 0.1mm thickness, this wick is delicate. Ensure you are using a clean, tinned iron tip to maintain proper thermal bridge during the desoldering process.
